Archer and wife Susan; his sister Mary Lou Johnson; his nephew, Nicholas J. Johnson; and his niece Kylie Archer.

Bill was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas. After high school, Bill joined the U. S. Army / Reserves and served for 4 years. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, he soon began his career path in sales, ultimately accepting a position with the American Chicle Company, a division of Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical. Bill worked for Warner Lambert for over 28 years, receiving numerous awards and recognition for exceptional service and exceeding company goals. After retirement and still having a passion for sales, Bill continued to buy and sell, as he did for much of his life. He had a knack recognizing opportunities to refurbish items like property, vehicles, boats, trailers, tractors and implements; the list goes on. Some say he could sell a popsicle to an Eskimo!

Bill enjoyed the great outdoors, especially being around water. It did not matter, rivers, lakes, or the coast, he thoroughly embraced swimming, boating and especially fishing. Many family vacations were had traveling to State and National parks with family; sitting around and enjoying a campfire was a must.

In his later years, Bill settled in Bandera County, where he purchased acreage and lived peacefully. He took considerable pride making improvements and building up his place. Bill enjoyed sitting on the front deck in the evenings with his wife Birdie and their dog, PJ. He enjoyed the simple pleasures the outdoors offers. Bill will be missed by all who knew him.
