THOMAS WAYNE BAKER

Thomas Wayne Baker, 82, of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away on May 25, 2025, in Boerne, Texas. He was born in Austin, Texas to Noel and Sybil Baker on April 24, 1943. He married Barbara Wideman on October 8, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas.

He attended school in Coldspring, Texas graduating Salutatorian of his class in 1961. He went on to graduate from Southwest Texas University with a Business Administration Degree. He began working for Church’s Fried Chicken, Inc. in 1971. He served as a Vice President of Operations, later becoming a Franchise owner.

He served as a deacon at the church he attended and most recently delivered food for Hill Country Daily Bread and BOAZ ministries.

Thomas Wayne Baker is preceded in death by Noel and Sybil Baker and his older brother, Carlton Baker.

Thomas Wayne Baker is survived by his wife Barbara Baker, daughter Terri Baker, daughter Judi (Baker) Chesshir (Steve), Wayne Baker Jr. (Dee) and Brenda (Baker) Walton (Jonathon), and his youngest brother Dan Baker (Lisa). His grandchildren Devon Schmid, Stevie and Connor Chesshir, Dillon Dutson, Alexis, and Beau Baker.

Visitation will be held at 1pm with Services to follow at 2pm on May 30, 2025, at Bandera Funeral Chapel 1214 Mulberry St. Bandera Texas, 78003. Officiating will be Jon Klubnik. Burial will follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery, FM 1283, Pipe Creek, Texas 78063.

Pallbearers: Devon Schmid, Stevie Chesshir, Connor Chesshir, Dillon Dutson, Beau Baker, and Steve Chesshir.

Family requesting no gifts or trees, flowers will be accepted._ Funeral services are entrusted to Bandera Funeral Chapel.
