The Big Lie

Republicans need a symbol, a flag that they can follow. I think they have found it in the “Big Lie.”

It is an ancient concept: if you yell a lie over and over again, eventually, people will start believing it. Every day, Republicans yell about the Big Lie, ie, that the Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election. Every night, when they go to bed, they say it over and over---”The Democrats stole the 2020 election.”

They say it again and again and again. Yes! People are starting to believe it! Ignore the historians. Once we get in power again, we can tell them what to write. And we’ll burn all the books that see history in a different way. Imprison those writers that disagree. Then, things will go smoothly.

We’ll put out the real history books and say, Yes! Republicans won the 2020 election! But, it was stolen from us and now, we’re getting it back! Fair is fair, right? Hurrah for Donald Trump!

Whoever is in power, that’s who you write about. Yes, the Big Lie will become our flag. The Republican Flag!

Me? What do I think? I think those guys, those particular Republicans, I think they are nuttier than a fruitcake.
