SCHOOL ERECTS NEW CROSS

As the morning sun rose and added warmth to the earth on a recent cold Pipe Creek morning, it became the perfect backdrop for a new cross erected on the Pipe Creek Christian School campus. The original wooden cross donated by the George Sistrunk family was damaged beyond repair in a recent windstorm. The school extended thanks Horizon Structural Systems in New Braunfels, who donated the six-inch steel tubing, and to Jeff Hayes, an employee of the company, and his son Jacob for welding the pieces together and erecting the cross. “It will take more than a windstorm to bring this cross down,” said the school in a statement.
