Bandera XC shines at home
Over the weekend, the Bandera Cross Country teams competed in their very own home cross country meet held at the Bandera City Park, with the the girls finishing first and the boys third.
The Varsity Lady Bulldog team kicked off the morning with a strong start. Senior Raelynn Butler led the Lady Bulldogs with a first place finish, earning the gold.
Sophomores Trinity Butler and Gracie Bankston finished close together in 12th and 18th place, also earning medals. Danielle Gonzales and Emily Presa came in together in 22nd and 23rd place.
Other Varsity finishers were Jazlyn Dickerson, 27th, Carlye Niccum, 37th, Kierstin Brown 46th, Morgan Cole 47th, and Makayla Gonzales, 65th.
Overall, the Varsity girls won with a total of 76 points ahead of Lytle and Pleasanton.
The Varsity boys finished third with 77 points, missing out on first place by just 10 points, and were ahead of Pieper, Devine, Pearsall, Hondo and others.
The Bulldogs were led by Senior Ethan Brown, who finished seventh overall, and Braden Cox, who finished 11th overall.
The rest of the varsity finishers were Mariano Casas, 16th, Hudson Jackson, 26th, Mack Robinson, 31st, and Reese Mazurek, 40th.
