Bandera Health Science students are seeking volunteers on whom to practice phlebotomy.
This Friday, May 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a table will be set up at the Silver Sage, where high school students will insert a butterfly needle into a volunteer’s vein before removing it.
An event flyer says the needle is “tiny” and students have already had “numerous practices” in school.
The students are seeking volunteers to meet their quota of 30 sticks so they can sit for the Phlebotomy Certification Exam.
The Silver Sage is located at 803 Buck Creek Drive in Bandera.
