Backroads Reservations releases phone app

Since 2001, Backroads Reservation Vacation Home Rentals has been helping people book the perfect vacation in the Texas Hill Country, and their recently released smartphone app hopes to expand that service.

The free Backroads Reservations phone app, available on the Google Store and Apple App store, offers users tools to craft the perfect getaway, from lodging and restaurants to museums and parks and everything in between.

Backroads Reservations, which does not charge a booking fee, highlights Bandera, Boerne, Concan, Hondo, Comfort, Ingram, Kerrville, Leakey, Lakehills, Medina, Medina Lake, Pipe Creek, Tarpley, Utopia and Vanderpool.

Listings and area highlights are arranged by town, complete with maps and directions to places of interest.

The app also highlights pet-friendly and kid-oriented businesses and attractions.

Once users have booked their lodging, the Backroads Reservation App will provide a recommended checklist for things to bring to get the most out of the property, as well as provide checkin information, photos of locations, a list of amenities, general property guidelines and more.

An anonymous chat feature allows users to connect with locals before and during the visit.
