Bandera celebrating cowboys
This Saturday, the Cowboy Capital of the World will celebrate the National Day of the American Cowboy.
Presented by the Bandera Business Association, July 23’s event will take place at the Bandera Courthouse lawn, located at 500 Main Street in downtown Bandera.
Proceedings kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a free cowboy breakfast from Kelly.
The Bandera Cattle Company Gunfighters will be on site for performances, as will local and cowboy musicians.
Other events include the John Wayne hat toss, Old Fashioned Kids’ Fun, Dr. Bob’s Medicine Show, art and crafts and much more.
The fun continues into the evening with a free rodeo at Mansfield Park presented by Ridin’ the River Cowboy Fellowship.
The Bulls, Barrels and Breakaway contest opens its doors at 7, and the show begins at 8 p.m.
