New Pipe Creek eatery growing
Pipe Creek Roadhouse and Backyard, located right on Hwy 16 S, opened last November and has been growing since.
“We were and still are looking for a group of food for diners and others,” said Arthur Gardiner, who owns and operates the location with his wife, Kimberly.
Last Saturday, the location held a Crawfish Boil, with signs in front of the restaurant pulling people in from off the highway.
The folks who pulled in said Cajun food was just what they were looking for, especially during Cowboy Mardi Gras.
Arthur said the crawfish boil was very popular with folks, and the eatery will try to get Crawfish until it’s out of season.
“We plan on having this as a monthly event with different sea food items available! Our Cajun cooks come directly from Louisiana and catch their own seafood the day before heading our way,” said Kimberly Gardiner.
She added the location hopes to hold charity events, chili cookoffs and even a poker stop during the upcoming Thunder in the Hill Country biking event.
Pipe Creek Roadhouse and Backyard also hosts steak night on Thursdays, where you can bring your own meat to cook or order a ribeye on site.
“Come let us spoil you and welcome you as family and follow us on Pipe Creek Roadhouse and Backyard and check out our website at Pipecreekrb.com,” Kimberly said.
The Gardiners, who were married two years ago, were looking for a business to buy before settling on their Hwy 16 location.
Kimberly has many years of experience working in the eatery world, so the couple bought the location in November.
Three to four months later, the Pipe Creek Roadhouse & Backyard is continuing to grow.
