Pipe Creek business celebrating 10 years
The Backyard Bistro, located in Pipe Creek, is celebrating 10 years in business, and Chef/ Owner Aaron Gonzalez will be hosting a special dinner menu and open house to commemorate the occasion.
“I am so grateful for all of the support we’ve received from the community over the years,” said Gonzalez. “From the beginning until now, it wouldn’t have been possible without Bandera County. This is our way of showing our appreciation.”
The special menu will be served from Sept. 15-18; the open house will be on Sunday, September 18, from 3-5 p.m. and will feature music from the Patsy Cline Band, wine tasting and door prizes.
The Backyard Bistro sits just behind Country Accents Antiques at 8312 Hwy 16 S in Pipe Creek.
Chef Gonzalez uses farm fresh eggs, herbs and other locally sourced ingredients in his menu.
Despite the hardships of operating a restaurant, Chef Gonzalez has said his acceptance into Bandera County has helped propel him forward and he is forever grateful for the community’s continued support.
The Backyard Bistro has been featured on Tanji Patton’s Good Eats show (2016), The Kerrville Daily Times’ Texas Hill Country Culture and been given nods by Texas Monthly.
The Bistro has also been able to give back to the community through donations and community events. This year, Chef Gonzalez is the featured chef at this year’s Cork and Fork in November 2022.
