An autopsy has been ordered for skeletal remains discovered by a Bandera Pass subdivision resident, according to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King.
“It is believed to be the remains of Brittany McMahon, who has been missing since last month, but that determination will be made pending autopsy results,” King told the Bulletin Tuesday morning.
King said the sheriff’s office was called late Sunday night after the resident discovered the remains near his property.
Judge Mike Towers ordered an autopsy, which will be performed by Central Texas Autopsy in Lockhart, according to King.
McMahon, 33, was reported missing June 19. Family members told the Bulletin she was last seen off Old Loop 173, which is where the Bandera Pass subdivision is located.
