ANDREW (ANDY) H. LINSON

Andrew (Andy) H. Linson, 66, of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away on June 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Merced, California to Lyman and Elizabeth (Betty) Linson on July 29, 1956. He married Mary Jane (Kelley) Linson on July 15, 1995, in Ogdensburg, New York. Growing up in an Air Force family, Andy spent time in several locations as a child, including Morristown, New York and Okinawa. Andy graduated high school from Victor Valley High School in Victorville, California. He attended college at Victor Valley Community College, also in Victorville. Always interested in how things worked, early in his career he was a small aircraft mechanic and owned his own business with his father in Apple Valley, California. Later, he moved back to Morristown and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, welder, fabricator, and machinist for the New York State Department of Transportation out of Ogdensburg and then Watertown, New York. He was a member of the National Guard for 6 years and a member of the Army Reserves for 3 years. He was a member of the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department and trained for diving and water rescue. He was working towards his dream of taking his Jeep overlanding across the U.S. with his wife, Mary Jane, and their dog, Kate.

Andy is preceded in death by his brother Michael Linson, his father Lyman Linson, and his mother-inlaw Gertrud Kelley.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Linson, his daughters Michelle Linson, Amber Linson, and Brandy (Linson) Forsay, his brother David Linson, his sister-inlaw Teri Linson, his mother Elizabeth (Betty) Linson, grandchildren Anthony, Chloe, Skylar, Oscar, and Amelia, and several, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Bandera United Methodist Church in Bandera, Texas, with Pastor Kyle Toomire officiating.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
