PATRICIA ANN FERNANDEZ
On the afternoon of December 19th, 2022, Patricia Ann Fernandez went to be with the lord at the age of 77.
Pat was born to Walter and Lorena Welch on September 5th, 1945, in Bandera, Texas. As one of 10 siblings she attended Bandera I.S.D. and subsequently worked as a nurse’s aide at the Kerrville State Hospital for most of her career. Her and Antonio Fernandez married and were happily in Love for over 60 years.
Patricia loved everything about the hill country and was enamored by the beautiful landscape that it had to offer. During her lifetime Pat enjoyed taking many trips with her grandchildren to the beach, state park and even our nation’s capital. She also loved many sports, softball especially as her and her husband Antonio coached for many years. Embroidery and reading were also a couple of her hobbies but above all Pat’s favorite activity was supporting her grandkids and great grandkids by attending every sporting event and ceremony possible. She has been a cornerstone of the family and her life was impactful to everyone that had the opportunity to know her. She also loved helping in any way she could, she wanted to see everyone in her family succeed and would do everything in her power to help make that possible.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father Walter, mother Lorena and sister Dorothy.
Patricia is survived by her husband Antonio Fernandez. Children Rosemary and her husband Darrell, Magdaline and her husband Pete, and Tony. Grandchildren Crystal, Cassandra, Ashley, Shalynn and Dawn. Great grandchildren Connor, Caydence, Mercedes, Brooklyn, Destiny, Nate, Isaiah and Ali.
A private memorial service will be held among her family and loved ones in the following days to come. The family would appreciate if everyone could keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
Flowers may be received at her residence located at 317 Old Medina Rd. Bandera, TX 78003. As yellow roses were her absolute favorite.
