Varsity Basketball Announces All District Honors

Coach Brady Keane proudly announced Senior Tyler Moore and Junior Noah Barnett have been named to the First Team All-District.

This distinction refers to Region IV-District 28 4A. A regional committee selects nominees and awards the distinctions based on stats and game play. The all-district selections were announced last week after Boerne was eliminated in semifinals at the state tournament.

Seniors Ryan Perez and Liam De-Marchi were tapped for the Second Team All-District. Honorable Mention All-District was Senior Luke Barnett, and Juniors Gavin Ortiz and Kayden Brown.

Academic All State requires the student athlete, student trainer or manager to be in good standing with the team, be of good moral character, and have an overall grade point average of 92 or above. Nominations are made by the head coach when all teams in the district are out of competitive play, usually after the State tourney.

In Academic All District, Senior Luke Barnett, Senior Ryan Perez, Senior Joseph Kennedy, Junior Noah Barnett, Junior Cale Barnett and Junior Braden Cox have all been selected for the Academic All District team. Senior Luke Barnett was selected for the Academic All-State Second Team.
