The Bandera High School Academic Decathlon team lived up to the high standards it has set for itself by winning not only the small-school title at the regional competition earlier in February but also earning the top score of all the schools at the competition, no matter what size, officials said.
The team's score of 41,250.90 was 1,510 points higher than the second-place school, Pearce High School from the Richardson Independent School District, at regionals, which were held Feb. 8 in Corpus Christi.
