A $100,000 stimulus program for city businesses victimized by the economic hardships associated with the coronavirus pandemic was approved by Bandera City Council last week but generated discord later in the week when the Bandera Economic Development Corp. voted on the details used to allocate the funds.
It could produce delays in getting financial aid to ailing businesses, including those that had to close as the state restricted personal interaction over the past month in an attempt to keep the deadly virus from spreading. That is something that city officials hoped could be avoided.
