The Greater Medina Lake Little League had a busy opening day at the Leibold SPorts COmplex in Lakehills, with games on three fields taking place from 9 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon.
The event kicked off with the inaugural debut of the Bandera High SChool Navy JROTC color guard. Cadets, led by Commander Mike Guard, were McKensey Alanis, Ryan Kalister, Troy Jones and Rayce Dinova.
Skye Perkins played the national anthem on her grandfather’s 1970s silver King coronet.
