The struggling Bandera baseball team had a strong start in a home game against Davenport and made Bulldog fans excited.
At least for a couple of innings.
Several times in the early going Bandera had two or three players on base at the same time and the team scored on Davenport mistakes.
Bulldog defense also helped with great catches from third baseman Patrick Cizek right left fielder Dylan Gherman.
But the Wolves regrouped, and Bandera watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover for a 6-2 loss to Davenport on Friday, April 9.
