Medina Track and Field athlete Joshua Hampton is headed to state competition after placing second in shot put at the 1A Region IV regionals competition held in League City, Texas, last week.
Hampton’s throw of 42’ 2.5” was not only enough to qualify him for the state meet this weekend, but it was also a personal best.
“Joshua Hampton really stepped up, and put everything together at regionals when it counted,” said Medina Athletic Director Cully Doyle.
