Kites bring fun, laughter
The Lake Medina RV resort is known for its variety of events for customers, from rock hunting to building and flying kites, which it did last Saturday, June 5.
Gina Grothues, a member of the family-owned business always looking for fun and family-friendly activities for its visitors, said the kites were a big hit with the kids and their parents.
After a period of building the kites, the kids were hurrying their parents to a wide field outside that had a good wind to get the kites in the air.
With laughter echoing in the air, sometimes it was hard to know who was having more fun: the kids or the parents.
It looked like the parents were remembering back to the time they were kids flying kites.
Among the families enjoying the kites were Cory and Brittany Mayer and their daughters, three-year-old Addison, age three, and one-year-old Charlotte,.
“We really like to come to Lake Medina RV Resort when we can, and our girls love it,” said Cory.
At one point during the day’s festivities, the kite got close to the ground and a small gust of wind took it close to the little girls, who chased it giggling and laughing.
