Trivia nights make for fun competition
Businesses are always looking for ways to attract customers, especially restaurants.
About three to four years ago, TJ’s at the Old Forge owners Arlene Guerra and Tammie Jones were brain storming.
“We were looking for a way to increase business on slow nights,” Guerra explained.
“We checked around and decided a live trivia game on Thursday would be fun thing at it is now a big draw,” she said.
Last Thursday, July 8, 15 teams ranging in size from one to over a dozen folks filled the eatery for a trivia battle.
The food came first to the tables of the trivia warriors, and while their stomachs filled their brains were tested with questions on a variety of categories.
Two of the bigger teams are 10-person Dementia and eight-person Academia Nuts.
The two team tables were next to each other which made for playful smack talk about whose guess was right and whose guess was wrong.
Other team names at the July 8 trivia night were Misfitz, Escondida Dragons, Chinny Whickers, team Forge, Happy Heifers, Bulldogs, and That’s What She Said.
Family Trivia Night is held every Thursday at TJ’s at the Old Forge, located at 807 Main Street in Bandera, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
