Police have been unable to uncover any leads regarding reports from a Lakehills family that two men attempted to kidnap an 11-year-old girl earlier this month.
According to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King, the child was outside at her home around 8 a.m. on July 7 when the girl’s cries for help alerted her father.
The child told her father two men had attempted to abduct her.
The father did not see the men, according to King.
King said there were no other witnesses to the event, though the investigation is ongoing.
According to King, forensic investigators based out of Kerrville who specialize in children’s cases spoke with the child.
“We are taking this seriously and are continuing our investigation,” said King.
