Applications open for council, commission

The City of Bandera is looking to fill seats on the and the Bandera City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission Board.

There are three city council seats open for a term that will expire in November 2023.

To be eligible, the applicant must be a registered voter and must reside on election in the ward from which the person may be elected (Bandera), according to the Texas Local Government Code.

Applications are available at Bandera City Hall, located at 511 Main Street and are due Monday, August 16, 2021.

Election day is November 2, 2021.

The Planning and Zoning Commission is looking to fill seats on its board.

To qualify, applicants must be a city resident, city business owner or Bandera county resident.

Appointments are for one or two-year terms, depending on the board, and each board or commission usually meets once a month on weeknights.
