Bobcats fall to OLH in close game
The Bobcats jumped ahead to an 8-0 first quarter lead and landed a total of 10 touchdowns, but ultimately lost a close game against Our Lady of the Hills in Kerrville on September 10 with a final score of 58-52.
“Our guys played very well and we are proud of their effort,” said Head Football Coach Mark Coley. “We came from behind to take the lead and had a chance to win at the end but could not quite pull it off.”
Quarterback Wyatt Boatman went 32 of 47 for 517 yards and seven touchdowns.
Dawson Simons was responsible for four touchdowns, catching ten passes for 170 yards.
Wickham brought the remaining three touchdowns, catching 12 passes for 210 yards.
Elsewhere on offense, Sammy Aguilar caught two passes for 25 yards, and Davis Briley had one 16-yard catch.
The Bobcats clocked in 53 total tackles, with Simons and Wickham having 15 and 10 respectively.
Additionally, Ty Hill and Boatman had eight tackles each, with Kai Patterson clocking in six, Will Derry having five, and Davis Briley having one.
Finally, Wickham went five for seven in extra point attempts.
Medina travels to Rochelle on Friday, Sept. 17.
“We think great things are ahead for us and think we will only get better,” said Coley.
