Car show benefits Triple H

The Alamo Area Corvette Club and Freedom Chevrolet sponsored an open car show last Saturday at the Triple H stales, with all proceeds benefiting Triple H Equitherapy.
A total of 103 cars were registered for the show. A field of shiny vehicles graced the pastures and car enthusiasts wandered down the rows, examining the vehicles, and talking to their owners.
The sunny weather brought out a large crowd during the day. There was live music, food trucks and a silent auction with a 50/50 raffle.
The show had many awards given for the different classes of vehicles.
Winner of the Freedom Chevy Best in Show was Linda Gomez for her 1956 Chevy Pickup.
The Alamo Area Corvette Club Best in Show was Jennifer Casey’s 2017 Corvette Grand Sport.
The Triple H Best in Show award went to Albert Stauder’s 1060 Chrysler 300.
Triple H Equitherapy, located on Backhaus Road in Pipe Creek, provides programs to children, adults and veterans who have a wide variety of mental and physical disabilities.
The Horses and Horsepower Open Car Show was the brainchild of Alamo Area Corvette Club members Gene and Diane Skillrud. They wanted an event to benefit Triple H Equitherapy and the club enthusiastically supported the idea One of the club’s goals is to help charities and schools.
AACC President Charles Niemeyer remarked, "The club is really on board for this event."
