The varsity Bulldogs fell to Boerne Geneva on Tuesday, March 22, in Bandera. The Bulldogs were looking for a comeback from a recent loss, but Geneva kept the pressure up and won the game 13-6.

By taking advantage of some Bulldog mistakes in the fifth inning, Geneva managed to take back the lead. The Bulldogs kept their grit and put in two runs, which was unfortunately not enough to take the lead.
In Junior Varsity action, the Bulldogs played Davenport in a double header, losing both games by a substantial deficit.
Lane Bourgeois pitched the first game throwing throw strikeouts. Good defensive plays were made by Mathew Chavez and Lane Timmons.
Offensively, the Bulldogs battled at the plate, but could not connect enough to overtake the Wolves. The Bulldogs lost to the Wolves in the first game 14-1.
In game two of the double header, Alex Rodriguez took to the mound and held the Wolves to only 2 runs in the first inning.
The Bulldog offense picked up and scored five runs in the 1st with good at bats from Alex Rodriguez, Rance Roden, AJ Cruz, Alex Dirck and Mathew Chavez. Cruz relieved Rodriguez on the mound and allowed only two runs in an inning. This couldn’t keep the Wolves from the plate, however as Davenport won the game 14 to the Bulldogs 5.
