Bandera Library Happenings
What a busy day today at the Bandera Library! Starting at 9:30 a.m. we have our Country Music Group meeting in the Downstairs Meeting Room. This group is all acoustic and meets weekly for a jam session. All levels are welcome. Starting at 4 p.m. we will be hosting Teri Dollar, certified organizational specialist” will be giving a class on decluttering your home. Come and learn proven strategies for minimizing your stuff and clearing your spaces. Having too much clutter has been shown to negatively affect your anxiety levels, sleep and your ability to focus. This will be a great resource for anyone procrastinating on Spring Cleaning!
Today at 4 p.m. our Sit-and-Stitch group also meets. Bring your stitching project or if you are interested in learning a new skill swing by to get the basics. Tomorrow, Thursday the 31st at 10:30 a.m. is our weekly Storytime. Pre-school kids can enjoy a read aloud session, fun crafts and a small snack. The library is currently looking for another volunteer for our Storytime sessions if you are interested, please contact the library at 830-796-4213.
Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. is the Monthly Book Fair hosted by the Friends of the Library. The weather is prime for porch-sittin’ so come by the library and pick up some great reads. This book fair is full of new and gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. There are even some really fun puzzles and games that are available. All items are by donation and your donation goes directly to supporting the library.
The Bandera Library is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside service is available for checkouts and business services. Free Wi-Fi is available 24/7.
