School celebrates spring
The Pipe Creek Christian School’s annual Spring Fling and Market Day feature featured crowds, several vendors and lively music.
The New Life Resale Shop next door had most of their wares displayed outside and offered a huge sale, with most items going for a dollar.
The band was Cross Hill Junction, playing classic rock and country. The lead singer was Randall Duncan, of Pipe Creek Christian Church, and a big supporter of the school. I found myself moving to the music as I visited all the vendors.
Of the several vendors, three caught attention especially. Thomas Johnson, of TJ’s Woodworking in San Antonio, offered some of his beautiful works in wood and metal cutouts. His wife was selling many plants, offshoots of her plants, which she had potted up. The Johnsons can be reached at 830-358-3919.
The Friedrichs family, of Pipe Creek, were all there selling their homemade stitchery, kitchen items, like coasters, hot pads, and aprons; all with beautiful workmanship. They call their businesses Seem Sew Lovely and Rustic Buiscut.
Two lovely and friendly ladies, Debra Conkle and Karen Dause, represented L’Bri skin care products. Both work as “bean counters” in San Antonio and, as independent consultants of L’Bri, offer free facials and spa treatments. The L’Bri products are natural and based on Aloe vera. Dause can be reached at 956-457- 9462 and Conkle at 210- 275-7088.
The whole event was hugely successful. Both parking lots were full and cars lined the highway in front of the school and thrift shop.
