Like King Arthur in Bandera

If you think you saw a knights in armor, troubadours, pirates, maidens and other people wearing clothes from King Arthur’s time, you aren’t crazy.

The Ren Faire of Bandera County event was held last Saturday and Sunday for hundreds of people, much to the joy of Robin Frazier, President of Guilds of Requiem, Inc., which puts on the event.

“The event this last week drew 550 patrons Saturday and 300 on Sunday people for almost 900 patrons,” she said smiling.

Those numbers are up from 200 in 2018 and 300 in 2019, according to Frazier.

COVID-related concerns halted in-person festivals, but the event returned bigger than ever this year with vendors, kids games, photo booths, card and game activities, performances, music and more.

“We had such a great time participating in the annual Ren Faire of Bandera County,” said James Moore, who attended the festival. “It was a wonderful sight to see everyone dressed up in their Renaissance attire, especially the little kids. All the family friendly activities and vendors made this a great event for all ages. We loved being able to be a part of the wonderful event and satisfying everyone's sweet tooth. Can't wait to do it again next year.”

Frazier said April 30th and May 1st, 2022, saw the rebirth of Ren Faire of Bandera County during the spring season of Renaissance Festivals.

This year Ren Faire of Bandera County was held at Pomarosa RV Park and Gate Community during their Market Days at the Pomarosa.

This gave a much needed bonus of camping spaces for those working the faire and those attending the faire. Robin Frazier, President of Guilds of Requiem, Inc. stated multiple times,

“Ms. Bibi Kekes, owner of Pomarosa RV, helped put our event over the top in reach of social media audiences. She was amazing to work with and it was refreshing to have cooperation between the venue and the event,” Frazier said.”
