Bob Haueter announces for Precinct 407 Chair

Hello, I’m Bob Haueter and I’m running for Bandera County Republican Precinct Chair for Precinct 407. Precinct 407 includes all of Flying L Ranch, Bridle Gate, English Crossing, Hills of Bandera, Potato Flats and other outlying areas south and east of the City of Bandera.

I’m humbly asking for your vote! As a lifelong conservative Republican, I believe in the fundamental principles of the Republican Party. I believe the strength of our nation lies in the individual and each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and personal responsibility, I believe in free enterprise and individual initiative which brings opportunity, economic growth and prosperity, I believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of what they earn, I believe government should provide for the people only those critical functions they cannot provide for themselves and that the best government is that which governs least, I believe in a strong national defense and lastly, I believe in and support the U.S. Constitution and all it represents.

From an early age I’ve been involved in the Republican Party, I’ve served as a Republican County Chair, a Republican Party Precinct Chair, and as a member of the State Republican Party Executive Committee.

From my first position working for the conservative legend, Senator Barry Goldwater, to serving as a surrogate speaker on both of President Ronald Reagan’s campaigns, I’ve watched and learned from these two great Conservative Leaders. One lifelong lesson I have learned and that I see play out time and again is the importance of Republicans working TOGETHER to battle the Democrats and not fight with each other! Reagan’s 11th commandment remains timeless. We MUST turn our focus on the real enemy! Those who are destroying our country!

I’ve worked in the State legislature as Chief of Staff to two Republican Minority Leaders, I’ve served as the Senior Deputy to a Conservative Republican County Supervisor and I’ve worked as the Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, District Director and Senior Advisor for four different Republican Members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

I’ve also worked on numerous state and national Republican campaigns and volunteered on every Republican Presidential campaign from Ford in 1976 to both Trump campaigns in 2016 and 2020.

I have valuable experience in the private sector as well having owned my own business and operating a national chain of Sporting Goods stores with sales in excess of $200 million.

These positions have reinforced for me why the Republican Party is our last best hope for America.

Locally here in Bandera County, I’m proud to have volunteered on the campaigns of Commissioner Jack Mosley, County Judge Richard Evans, Republican Justice of the Peace, PCT 4 Lynn Holt and both former Congressman Lamar Smith and incumbent Congressman Chip Roy.

For our Bandera County Republican Party, I serve as the Budget Committee Chair, where I created a balanced budget, and I’ve served as Sergeant of Arms.

For the County of Bandera, I’ve served as Chair of the Early Voting Ballot Board for the last two elections.

Today we have a Federal Government controlled by Democrats that oppose all of the principles I hold dear. Our country is weak, we’ve lost the respect of the rest of the world, our border is being over run by illegal aliens and drug cartels. Our economy is in total free fall, inflation is raging and Americans are suffering. Critical Race Theory is being taught in our schools and the sanctity of life is challenged.

I believe we all need to work together as Republicans to confront the challenges we’re facing, both locally and in our state and nation.

I believe we need a strong and unified Republican Party to elect leaders who will; SECURE OUR BORDER, STOP THE FLOW OF ILLEGAL ALIENS, STOP THE FLOW OF ILLEGAL DRUGS, SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION, DEFEND AND PROTECT THE 2ND AMENDMENT, SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT, OPPOSE CRITICAL RACE THEORY BEING TAUGHT IN OUR SCHOOLS AND SUPPORT LIFE!
