CHESTER JAMES HEINEN JR.

Chester James Heinen jr., 74, passed away on March 30, 2022 due to a bacterial infection. Chester was born on December 15, 1947 and raised in his hometown of Bandera, Tx.

At age 19, he began a lucrative career as an airplane mechanic for Boeing which moved him to Denver, Co. He became a father to his 2 sons, Mark and Mitchell Heinen before receiving this opportunity. They were born in Bandera, then were shortly moved to Denver. During this time, he gained extensive knowledge that would serve him and the community during the entirety of his life.

After a few years at Boeing, Bandera began to call him home. He decided to move back to the Bandera/Pipe Creek area and start his own business, Heinen Construction. For decades, his company performed excellent work on large projects ranging from public roads to subdivision preparation. As his business grew, so did his reputation in the community. He ran this business for many years while also working on diesel engines on the side.

Fishing and boating were his true passions and a common site would be Chester waving from his boat on Medina Lake or the Gulf Coast near Port Aransas. He continued this hobby until his passing, and would hold large community fish frying gatherings that many would look forward to and revere.

He will always be remembered for his generosity towards all, his wit and trademark dry humor. He is survived by his 3 sons, Mark and Mitchell Heinen, Scott Heinen, his wife Sondra and her two sons, Keith and Kevin Cissell.

A celebration of life will be held at 281 Water St. Pipe Creek Tx 78063 on June 4th 2022 starting at 3PM. It will be a potluck, friends and family of Chester’s are welcome to bring a dish that he may have enjoyed. BBQ will also be served as well.
