Pet Parade scheduled for July 4
The 26th Annual Pet Parade, sponsored by The Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League, will be held at Bandera City Park by the river on Monday, July 4, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Entrance and registration to the event is free.
Pets of all shapes, sizes and variety are welcome to join the parade. Anything you can lead, ride or carry is welcomed.
Registration for the parade begins at 9:00 a.m.
The judging of the pets with their owners will start at 9:30 a.m. in the judging area.
Costuming of pets and owners is encouraged but not required. Contestants are welcome to be creative.
Awards will be presented to: Most Patriotic, Best of the Wild West, Look A Like Pets and Owners, Most Talented, Most Original, Best Storybook Character, Most Creative and Best of Show.
The Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The Barrel House Feed Store in Pipe Creek is providing free packages of dog treats for the contestants and visitors this year.
A free raffle of gift baskets filled with dog treats will be held. Get a free raffle ticket at the registration table. The drawing for the baskets will take place before the beginning of the parade, and ticket holders must be present to win.
Complimentary bottled water will be available for pets and their owners at the registration table.
Admission to the park is free if you tell them that you are with the Pet Parade. After noon, entrance fees will be charged. For more information, call 210-705-4794.
