UT ensemble performing at Cork and Fork
The celebrated Tenor- Bass Ensemble from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin will perform at Cork & Fork, the upcoming fundraising event benefiting the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic next month.
“The Nagel Clinic is super excited to be able to present this outstanding ensemble of accomplished vocal students. They will reach deep into their Texas repertoire and sing their hearts out for the enjoyment of our guests and the benefit of our patients,” said Clinic Executive Director, Chuck Lutke. “With newly reinforced sound, every note will be enjoyed by all. We are grateful to Suzanne Pence and the Butler School of Music for making this performance possible.”
The event will be held at The Farm Country Club in Bandera on Saturday, November 12. from 6 to 10 p.m.
The UT Tenor-Bass Ensemble, formerly known as the UT Men’s Glee, is an ensemble made up of UT students with tenor and bass voice ranges and has a long and rich history at the University of Texas dating back many decades.
This choir performs literature ranging from spirituals and barbershop- style harmonies to music of the masters.
Cork & Fork is the Nagel Clinic’s annual event honoring America’s military veterans. It is presented close to Veteran’s Day and during the season of Thanksgiving when the community reflects on the life we cherish in the Texas Hill Country. Proceeds benefit the Nagel Clinic’s health care mission and programs for medically uninsured Bandera County residents.
Tickets for the November 12 event are $75 standard, $65 for veterans. Tables of eight are $600.
