O FOR 2… STRIEGL LOSES AGAIN!

Recently the “party of law & order”, nationally, but definitely not locally, lost in court. Striegl & Company, and a majority of the Bandera County Republican Party (all Striegl recruits), had to be ordered by a Judge to, “follow the law”. Let that sink in! Once again Conrad, Chair of the Bandera County Republican Party, and a majority of Precinct Chairs had to be stopped from violating state election law by a Judge. And once again, Conrad and his toadies tried to get the court to issue a confidentiality agreement to keep the public from knowing the details of their actions and the Judges order. So much for calls of transparency Conrad! The individuals who brought the action; two well respected Precinct Chairs who want the law followed, refused to agree to Conrad’s plea to keep the public in the dark. No surprise on their part, given Conrad and companies’ repeated violations of the last confidentiality agreement they signed. Remember, Striegl and company sued the previous Republican County Chair, lost, were ordered to pay her attorney costs, restore the bank account they, allegedly, fraudulently removed her from, and then ran around town claiming they’d won. Maybe that’s why the local Republican Party’s bank accounts under Striegl’s leadership remain a closed book, in spite of multiple calls for full disclosure of the party’s finances and an independent audit of the books. What will it take to get full transparency from our local Republican Party? Perhaps we’ll know more when, as reported by this paper, the State of Texas' Attorney General completes his investigation of Striegl and company… we can only hope so.
