Bandera Brewery announces canned distribution
During its five-year anniversary celebration last Saturday, Bandera Brewery announced cans of its beer will soon be available on store shelves.
“Bandera Brewery is heading out into the world, and we are excited for what the future holds,” says Bandera Brewery Co-Owner and Head Brewer Johnny Oliver. “We are thankful to our loyal customers who have been with us since the beginning. We could not have done this without you.”
Canning starts with El Demonio, the first in the brewery’s Luchador Mexican Lager series.
Oliver said a specific release date for store availability will be announced very soon.
For now, cans are available for purchase at the brewery, which is located at 3540 Hwy 16 S.
Throughout 2023, the brewery will be revealing five styles of Mexican lagers, with a new wrestler for each style and can.
El Demonio’s can features statistics about the wrestler: 312 pounds, 8-10 record, Guadalajara origins, and his signature move – the Bandera Slam!
“This beer is clean, crisp, clear and smooth with an ABV of 4.7 percent,” reads a description from the brewery. “Flake Maize makes this lager a truly tradition- inspired beer, brewed in Bandera, Texas.
Starting as a single-barrel brewery in 2017, Bandera Brewery now boasts 20 craft beers on tap – all of which are brewed in-house at Bandera Brewery.
The brewery is family and pet-friendly, features an upstairs arcade and has a one-acre beer garden.
Food is available next door at The Mar Fe and can be enjoyed on site.
The Brewery has a full slate of events: Live Trivia and Taco Tuesdays, Movie Night on Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, Karaoke/ Open Mic Night on Friday, and more! Live music is scheduled for every Saturday and football games currently grace multiple screens at the brewery.
