Court prohibits certain fireworks
The Bandera County Commissioners’ Court has once again adopted an order prohibiting certain fireworks in unincorporated areas of Bandera County.
The order practically mirrors last year’s order and prohibits the sale and use of fireworks classified as “skyrockets with sticks” or missiles with fins in any portion of the unincorporated areas of Bandera County.
The decision came during a regular meeting of the Bandera County Commissioners earlier this month on Dec. 8.
The order does not prohibit “permissible fireworks” as defined in Occupations Code Section 2154.003(a).
Not following the order’s guidelines could result in a Class C Misdemeanor.
The order references the Texas Forest Service’s determination that drought exists in the county and that fire danger is enhanced by the current conditions.
As of the Bulletin’s press deadline, the burn ban in Bandera County is lifted. However, Burn registrations can be done on the county’s website or by calling 830-460-8183.
