Bandera Bulletin hits the airwaves
You can now get your local news from The Bulletin at the top of every hour on 103.9 KBRN Boerne Radio.
In an association with Granite Media Partners, the parent company of The Bulletin, Boerne Radio will now broadcast live from the offices of the Bulletin’s sister paper, the Boerne Star.
As part of that partnership, The Bulletin and The Star will supply local news at the top of the hour.
“This was a natural fit. The Bandera Bulletin has been around for over 70 years and 103.9 has great outreach and standing in the community,” said Suzanne Stevens, digital desk editor for Granite.
“This will allow us to broaden our news capabilities so we can bring our readers and new listeners the most up-to-date news in new ways,” she added.
And, with the ever-changing ways people get their news, finding new opportunities to deliver hyperlocal content is what it’s all about, Stevens said.
“We’ve been an outlet since 1945. This is an exciting new step into the future,” said Daniel Tucker, general manager and managing editor of The Bandera Bulletin.
Tucker also sees the partnership as a logical next step.
“The Bulletin is excited not only to expand its reach but to give our listeners more avenues to access their local news,” he added.
KBRN 103.9 officially moves into the Star’s building on March 1, but you can get your local news from The Bulletin at the top of every hour now.
