Ham Rodeo postponed to April 1

Originally scheduled for March 18 and now postponed to April 1, an all-ages hog catch will celebrate its 17th year this Saturday at Mansfield Park.

The Bandera Ham Rodeo, formerly known as the Wild Hog Explosion, invites participants to “catch ‘em, if you can’’ for a chance to win belt buckles and other awards.

Gates and event registration open at 9 a.m., and the event officially begins at 11 a.m.

Admission for adults is $10, ages five to 12 are $5 and kids under the age of five are free.

The event is cash-only, but an ATM is available on site.

Sponsored for the event, which is hosted by the Bandera Wranglers, include Bandera Spirits of Texas Quick Draw Payroll, Coconut Cowboys, TJ’s at the Old Forge, the Bandera General Store and more.
