The Bandera County Retired Teachers Association provided each BISD and MISD campuses with handmade goodies for Teacher Appreciation Day, always held the first Tuesday in the first full week of May.This year it was May 2. Eleanor Roosevelt helped create this day to honor educators. She spoke before Congress to ask that a time be dedicated to send thanks and express appreciation to the nation’s teachers.In 2023, the week of May 8 through May 12 is Teacher Appreciation Week.
