Students wanting to apply for one of the 10, $2,500 scholarships that the Bandera Electric Cooperative will award this year and to seek a place in the BEC Youth Tour program that will send students on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. have until midnight on Feb. 16 to get their applications in.
Both high school seniors and enrolled postsecondary students whose parents or guardians are BEC members are eligible to seek one of the scholarships that the cooperative established in 1988. The scholarships help pay for tuition, fees and expenses at accredited universities, colleges, junior colleges and approved trade schools.
