Peggy Sechrist, a professional certified educator in holistic management since 1992 who lives near Fredericksburg, will talk about ways landowners can increase the water-holding capacity of their soils when she addresses a meeting of the Texas Master Naturalists in Kerrville on Monday, Jan. 27.
Sechrist and her husband Richard were the first Texas ranchers to create a certified organic, grass-fed beef operation in 1995 and added pastured poultry to their operation three years later, officials said.
