Local Republicans formed a Trump Train featuring 30 vehicles that rolled through Bandera Saturday, September 7.
The group met outside of the GOP headquarters on Pecan Street to stage the event.
The train wove its way southwest from Pecan Street down Main to the Tractor Supply across the Medina River and then headed back into town to the Red Horse Saloon, where they turned and made their way back to Pap’s Italian Restaurant in the strip center off Hwy 16 S just inside the city limits.
With lights flashing and horns blaring, the colorfully decorated group seemed to enjoy the experience.
All sorts of vehicles were represented including a three-wheeler, an antique fire engine and all sorts of trucks with banners and patriotic flags.
Bandera County Republican Women’s Club Secretary Tiffany Shirey said she would coordinate with Kerrville Republicans so that the trains could roll on alternate Saturdays.
This would give Republicans who wished to participate in both local events a chance to divide their time equally between Bandera and Kerrville.
For more information on GOP events, the Bandera County Republicans monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12 at the Silver Sage Community Center Dining Room at 6:30 p.m.
