MEDINA SISTERS WIN RODEO

Last Friday, the Bandera Bulldogs football team secured a commanding victory over Pearsall on the road, improving their season record to 5-2 and marking a strong start with a 1-0 record in district play.

The Bandera County Retired Teachers Association (BCRTA) will hold its annual Scholarship Fund Spirit Night on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Dough Joe, 702 Main Street.

The Medina volleyball team celebrated Senior Night on Friday, Oct. 4, ahead of their district match against Leakey.

Medina honors volleyball seniors

The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) has opened the Texas division of Wildlife Forever’s 2025 Fish Art Contest for entries.

The Medina Cross Country runners competed in the Tivy Antler River Run Invitational meet at Flat Rock Park in Kerrville on Saturday, September 28th. “Through very competitive competition they performed well, and had some personal records set,” stated Head Coach Chad Coffey.

Last Friday, the Lady Cats and Bobcats earned demanding wins over LaPryor and Runge to conclude the day with two victories.

The Bulldogs weigh their 24-21 Homecoming game loss to the Lytle Pirates last Friday night, marking the team’s first loss of the year and bringing their record to 2-1. The team travels to Cole (2-1) this Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The Medina Lady Cats continued their winning streak with victories over Sabinal, Knippa, and Center Point during the week of Sept. 2-6.

The Medina Lady Cats were named Medina Tournament Champions on Saturday, August 31st with a win over the Lady Pirates from Center Point.

The Bandera Bulldogs are ready to hit the gridiron once again, kicking off their highly anticipated 2024 football season at home this Friday, August 30, against the Poteet Aggies.

Fall is drawing near and that means the beginning of new hunting and fishing seasons. Prior to venturing to the water or hitting the field, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) reminds hunters and anglers to purchase their new licenses for the 2024-25 season.
