Medina High School basketball earned key wins in Leakey on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The Lady Cats entered the contest needing a win to keep their season alive and put them in a tie for the final spot in the State Playoffs.

Three of six billiards teams of the Bandera Division APA League of San Antonio will advance to the TriCups in February after clinching wins in their respective billiards games for the Fall 2023 session.

Medina FCCLA participated in their Regional Competition and Leadership Conference on Friday, Feb. 2, in Corpus Christi.

The Medina Lady Cats defended their home court on Tuesday, Nov. 28, against the visiting Tigerettes from Brackett.

The Bandera varsity football team gave a high-powered Ingleside squad everything it could have for nearly three quarters Friday night in the area round of the Class 4A Division II playoffs, but the Mustangs ultimately pulled away enroute to a 63-33 finish at Pleasanton’s Eagle Stadium.

Medina ISD recently announced that multiple volleyball and football palyers were named as All-District Players.

The Lady Bulldogs went head-to-head with the Hondo Lady Owls on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Competition Gym in Bandera.

For the first time since 2007, the Bandera Bulldogs are bi-district champions.

The Bandera varsity football team exploded for 41 points in the first half of Friday’s Senior Night game against Carrizo Springs before coasting to a 41-29 victory that pushed the team to 9-1 and solidified an undefeated district championship with the Class 4A state playoffs on the horizon.

The Medina Bobcats concluded their regular season on Friday, Nov. 3, versus the Panthers from Nueces Canyon.

Bandera Fire and Rescue hosted their annual Bandera Fire and Rescue Fireman’s Challenge last month on Oct. 21.
