Medina competed at the 1A Region IV Track & Field Championships last Friday and Saturday, April 19-20, in Seguin.
While there were not any athletes that advanced to the state meet, the athletes all turned in their best times of the year earning points for Medina.
Individual event placings were as follows:
• Men’s Shot Put: Gabriel Bower 5th (42’7”)
• Women’s 100m Dash: Makenna Gourley 5th (13.55)
• Men’s 4x100m Relay: – Medina 4th – Cody Swinney, Samuel Aguilar, LaDamian Rubio, TJ DeLeon (46.2)
• Men’s 4x200m Relay: – Medina 5th – Chris Charnetski, Samuel Aguilar, Gaige Pitts, TJ DeLeon (1:36.31)
• Women’s 1600m Run: – Ahnika Grassie 6th (6:28.92)
