The Bandera County Commissioner’s Court held a special meeting on September 5 for a public hearing on the proposed 20242025 budget, but no community members signed up to speak.
During the meeting, the Engineers Department, Sheriff’s Department, and Attorney’s Office presented information on budget amendments.
Per Judge Richard Evans, the 2024-2025 Budget will include an amendments page that prefaces the budget, before it is approved and adopted.
The court postponed action on the budget until its regular meeting from Sept. 11 to Sept. 12, where the budget and tax rate will be voted on.
Evans noted, “September 12 we will vote on the 2024 budget, public hearing to vote to adopt the tax rate – ratify the property tax increase reflected in the budget. It’s all September 12, 2024.”
