The Medina Lady Cats continued their winning streak with victories over Sabinal, Knippa, and Center Point during the week of Sept. 2-6.
The varsity team kicked off the week on Sept. 3 with a straight- set win against Sabinal, 2516, 25-18, 25-7, led by Brooke Mancha’s 12 kills, Hallie Kunz’s 26 assists, and Audrey Gatlin’s 18 digs.
The junior high team secured a thrilling three-set victory over Knippa, winning the final set 17-15. This brought their record to 3-0 for the season.
On Friday, Sept. 6, the varsity squad earned another straight-set win over Center Point, 25-15, 25 22, 25-23. Crista Zirkel led with 9 kills and 2 blocks, supported by Ahnika Grassie with 7 kills and Kailey Mc Cabe’s 5 aces. The Lady Cats will face Brackett High School at home on Friday, Sept. 13, with the varsity match starting at 4 p.m.
