- Kay Nelson, chairman of the Fall Festival
Cooler temperatures are setting the stage for the 2024 Hill Country Master Gardeners Fall Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife office in Kerrville.
The festival will feature classes at 10 a.m. on “Rainwater Management” and at 1 p.m. on “Tell Your Rainwater Where to Go.”
Garden tours will be offered throughout the event, and certified Master Gardeners will be available to answer horticultural questions.
Junior Master Gardeners and Kerr County 4H members will also share their fall gardening projects. Kids can enjoy treats and meet Mabel the hen and her henhouse companions.
“Fall might be my favorite time of year. The gardens are a knockout now, and the fall colors are glorious,” said Kay Nelson, chairman of the Fall Festival. “Come rain or shine, we’ll be there to answer questions, share expertise, and offer a great time in the garden.”
The Hill Country Master Gardeners, a service organization affiliated with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, works on a variety of projects to meet local horticultural needs and enhance community spaces.
The event will take place at 3775 Hwy 27, Kerrville, Texas.
