Speech & Debate team continues success
The Bandera High School (BHS) speech and debate team achieved notable success over the weekend at the Jack C. Hays TFA tournament.
Senior Isabella Chapa and senior Micah McCreary were both recognized as finalists in Congressional Debate, while sophomore Aiden Garcia reached the semifinals in novice Extemporaneous Speaking.
Freshman Luke Parks earned special congratulations for placing fourth in novice Extemporaneous Speaking.
Looking ahead, the full UIL academics, speech, and debate teams will attend the Student Activities Conference at the University of Texas this weekend as they prepare for their first regional meet in November.
