You may have grown up a Democrat or voted Democrat in the past. You may just not like President Trump’s personality. I welcome you to put all that aside and do what your heart tells you is right — vote Republican.
I read the progressive views column in last week’s Boerne Star that used the left’s rallying cry about the Republican threat to democracy. I was surprised they didn’t mention that we are Nazis or followers of Mussolini or Stalin, and our leader is worse than Hitler.
The author wrote that all the best economies come from Democrat presidents. I should probably write this article refuting all the inaccuracies and gaslighting. Still, I think most sensible people would choose the Reagan years over Carter’s, or know that Obama had the worst recovery from a recession on record, or understand they were better off under Trump.
Since Trump left office, they have felt the pinch of the 9-10% drop in real per-capita disposable income. They feel the $8,000 the typical American family has lost in annual income because of higher prices and increased financing costs under the Biden/Harris regime.
Instead, I decided in the remaining space to ask you some questions that if you are on the fence may convince you to vote Republican.
Do you want to continue to spend more at H-E-B? There aren’t any signs of a slowdown in spending, given Kamala Harris’s idea to provide more tax credits with no work requirements, more student loan forgiveness and $25,000 to any new home purchaser. The current budget calls for another $7.3 trillion in spending filled with freebies that will only add fuel to the inflation fire.
Do you want to keep spending more on gas, given the continuation of the fight against the oil and gas industry? Do you want the continuous flow of illegal immigrants coming across the border eroding our culture, taking native-born or legal immigrant jobs and overburdening our healthcare and educational systems?
Is it OK that hundreds of thousands of people are dying from the fentanyl crossing the border? Are you OK with the illegal immigrant crime wave that has taken the lives of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray or nursing student Laken Riley, or the Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment complexes from Aurora, Colorado, to San Antonio?
Are you afraid of another 9/11 attack from the 300 illegals on the terror watch list allowed into the country? Are you a legal immigrant or from a family of legal immigrants, frustrated with the bad name Biden/Harris has given legal immigration that our country was built on?
Do you want biological boys changing in girls’ locker rooms or playing in girls’ sports? Are you OK with biological boys going into girls’ bathrooms?
Are you OK with school libraries filled with books containing graphic sex acts? Do you want your kids to grow up knowing what a woman is? Do you want your taxes to pay for convicted criminal’s sex changes?
Do you want a military that is focused on DEI policies rather than protecting our country? Are you happy with the Afghanistan withdrawal and the $85 billion of equipment left behind or the 13 heroes who needlessly lost their lives, and whose names have yet to be uttered from the lips of the president?
Would you like to get back to the time of peace under President Trump or do you like two wars raging in the Middle East, one in Europe and another looming in the Pacific? Are you happy with the United States loosening sanctions on Iran and helping to fund the largest state sponsor of terror to develop a nuclear weapon?
Are you fine with censorship and our government telling social media companies what misinformation is? Is it OK to weaponize our legal system and conspire with prosecutors to jail your political opponents?
Do you think you should be a legal citizen or need to show an ID to vote? I could go on but I have run out of space. Please consider all this before you make up your mind.
Vote your conscience; vote Republican.
